Smells like Spring
If you inhale deeply enough.
Spring is a mindset before it’s a temperature.
I understand that this may be geographically controversial. From Florida, this optimism feels borderline irresponsible. But still, the light is shifting. The air is thinning. Something is softening.
I’m a little tired of sharing winter wear. I’m guessing you’re a little tired of wearing it. So consider this our collective manifestation: an early arrival, longer light, a few good weeks of real spring energy before summer swallows it whole.
Spring is fleeting, so we approach it strategically.
Here’s what I’m plotting.
Saturated color. Think bright, large and in charge. Chartreuse. Electric cobalt. Blood orange. Hot Barbie pink. Color that looks deliberate. Even better if it clashes slightly. Especially if it clashes slightly.
YSL cosmetic pouches (and cosmetic pouches in general). If you’ve been here long enough, you already know I consider these multipurpose. Use them as: a poolside clutch, a gym mini-carry (wallet + keys + lip balm), a dinner bag when you don’t want the commitment of a full purse.
Light, intentional layers. We’re retiring the heavy coats. Instead: pieces that can function as the outfit, not just something thrown over it. Think sharp blazers worn as tops. A jacket buttoned and belted like a shirt. Structured but breathable layers that hold their own.
Micro-beaded details. The smaller the bead, the better. A thin line of beading on a sandal strap. A subtle trim on a belt. A bag with barely-there embellishment. Small details that completely change a piece.
Clean, deliberate vintage accents. Oversized sunglasses. A structured leather handbag. A belt that feels inherited rather than purchased. One strong vintage accessory can stabilize even the brightest look.
Love you, bye!
